Issues
Something that's a big issue that not only do I see in my life, but I know it affects many others also and my issue is Bullying. Bullying is something that affects kids everyday and I don't know maybe someday it will affect my own kids, but I want to be able to do the best I can to prevent it and if I can't I want to be able to give my own kids and many others a chance to be able to confront others about their problems. I don't want them to be afraid to talk to someone about their bullying problem. A kid shouldn't have to worry about getting bullyied worse after talking to someone, that someone should do whatever they can do to prevent the bullying for that kid. No matter how much I go on about kids being bullyied it will still happen, we see it in reality tv shows and it shows us that this COULD happen to a kid here. Kids come home daily with bruises and blood, kids have been beat to death, and kids have been shot due to bullying, what can the American Society do to stop this. Not one kid should die because they were bullyied, a kid should be able to be a kid and live their own lives, and NOT have to worry about what others think of them.

Within the first segment of thism ovie that we watched, the degration of women is a 10 on a scale factor. It is absolutely horrible, and it really doesn't help anyone's self esteem. You will always hear through out your life, "think" before you "speak", well boys(guys) these days uaually don't and in thi scase they definately don't. I'm catergorizing speaking and typing on the internet the same, it's insane, why would you try and pull something like that off? You don't think anyone will find out it's you who started it, it's history, and "history" is always dug back up, at one point or the other. While finishing this movie I also understood where Edguardo was coming from and being upset with the whole ownership thing, he was downgraded and he was the CFO. Just because he was off doing whatever, Edguardo paid for the whole thing basically and he was never really thanked, Mark never thanked him and was always asking for more money, and in the end Edguardo had to freeze the checking account because it was the only way he could get Mark's attention, but thankfully in the end a company opened an office for facebook, and gave them $500,000.

post #5 Ferris Buellers Day Off
1. In this movie Ferris and his friend Cameron take Camerons dad's car around Chicago and while they are walking around the city someone takes it and puts many miles on it. Well when Cameron finds out he goes into total shock, him and his friend then go try and relax by the pool and while relaxing Cameron "fakes" drowning because he is trying to realize what he needs to do.
2.) In the movie Sandlot, one of the young boys fakes drowning so that he can make out with the "HOT" lifeguard.
3.) The connection between these two scenes in the movies definately relate to one another, whether the meanings of the incidents are the same. Cameron went into total shock and was just trying to think about what had happened and how to make it better, while in the Sandlot they do it to get attention from the hot lifeguard, and try to get mouth to mouth. They thought "drowning" was going to make everything better. Or atleast solve the problems.
4.) The whole drowning act has different meanings to both characters. In one the kid was just trying to think about how to fix his problem and in the end he sticks up for himself and trashes the car, in the other the kid only wants to catch the attention of the lifeguard and recieve mouth to mouth from her.

House himself I believe is most alike to me, he makes his assumtions and after he thinks about it, he understands what it really is, and what is really wrong. With the other doctors they are always trying to figure out the problem right away, yes that's probably what you want to do, well the problem with that is while your doing that the patient is struggling so mean while you need to take care of it somehow by making assumptions to help stabalize the patient.
Doctor House's characater might frighten someone at first, he is who he is and he likes to be able to get his point across. Yes he needed to be with the patients more, but maybe there was something within his personality that made him not want to, maybe being around the sick made him feel really upset. and maybe even ashamed.
I think the morals among the doctors differ, but mainly to save the patients and help them with the pain and figure out the way to help them the fatest.
I think the lesson in this episode is to understand were your peers are coming from, and that they have reasoning behind what they are saying also. because when your in a hospital you have many patients and you're going to have to try and cooperate as much as you possibly can. You need to be able to show emotions towards your co workers without upsetting the patient and watch what you say around them.

Post #3 There will come soft rains
It's was hard for me to understand this story, but the poem I felt summed it up. No one will know that the war is done, or atleast no one will even care. When the spring awakens it will be hard to understand that the everyone is gone, or spring will hardly notice. The whole earth was taken by a nuclear war, no people to take care of.
With this story a person could get the vibe that you need to notice things around you and you need to use them to understand what has happened.
The same things happen in the house each day, like cleaning, make breakfast, and beds. Routine is key.

1.) a.) Family is absolutely the most important part of my life. No matter if my choices are right or wrong my family supports me and has my back no matter what.
b.) Friends, are the one's that will always be there if i need them. My friends are always there for me, they know when I'm down, and they always know how to cheer me up. I don't know what I would do without my friends because my family members aren't always the right ones to talk to in certain situations.
c.) School is an important part of my future. My education means alot to me because I know with the future and the way things are heading, if you don't have atleast some education when looking for a job, you'll be out of luck.
2.) My mom's side of the family has a history of cancer and I was always so worried about my mom and even me in the future. In seventh grade my best friend Clara was diagnosed with lymphomia. It changed everything, I was on the computer for hours trying to find the most I could about the disease. I knew I wanted to do something to help her and her family out. The Halloween dance was coming up and I decided to set up a can where through out the dance people could come and put in donations and sign a card, I didn't get to dance even once. In the end it was worth it, with this being a middle school group of kids we raised $186. It seemed like we could have done better, but without giving an advanced notice that there would be a chance to donate to the family, I thought we did extremely well.

Chris McCandless in "Into The Wild" had an astonishing point of view, the book was incredible and I loved hearing about his adventures. If I could I would go back and go along his journey with him (of course if I didn't have the chance of dying), just to see the way he went about things and to ask him the main question alot of people try to ask, WHY?
Chris was on a mission and he didn't want anyone to try and stop him and that's why i was really hard for him to accept any help even if it was only a ride. He wanted to do this on his own, he wanted to explore and see the outter world. Chris was determined, it didn't matter to him what others had to say about him he did what he wanted to do, and he didn't let anyone change that.
When you think about it, if your set to do something your going to do it whether others want you to or not. Also, Chris kept alot to myself and when it comes down to it, it was probably the best option for him. One shouldn't judge another based on another's dreams.
Chris followed his dream, and he died satisfied. I believe what I said was true because otherwise why would he have gone on his journey? Yeah he wanted to explore, but going out as a traveler and risk taker, you understand all the possibilities. You know what could happen.
